A true activist in Electronic music of all kinds for well over 15 years, Belgian Airwave’s discography counts more than 250 records and dozens of remixes, many of them being supported by the biggest names of the industry. Genius Composer and Performer, the man’s imprint on the scene is remarkable.
Hit by surprise by a virus called Electronic Dance music, Laurent developed his knowledge of music and technology in Parallel until his first demos saw the light of day in may of 1995. 1996 saw him release his first tracks on the infamous Bonzai imprint, but that is 1998 that saw him grow up and become the progressive trance artist we know today, with the release of his first Airwave record, I want to Believe, immediately picked up by UK’s own Sasha and Oakenfold, and later on by up and coming youngster Tiesto, gaining popularity as much as he was playing Laurent’s records. The same can be said about the whole dutch trance scene, in which Laurent’s records were and still are omnipresent.
That is how Laurent developed his DJ and performing career from back then, having several gigs worldwide, from Tokyo to San Francisco, from Auckland, NZ to Toronto, and from Manchester to Athens. Hundreds of gigs saw him perform at the world’s biggest clubs of those times, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, The Gallery, 1015, Dopler in Bratislava, and many others, all of them had the chance to welcome Laurent Airwave one day, if not several times, which proves that you do not need to over-commercialize your music to get rewarded all around the world.
«Everyday is full of new challenges, and limits only exist into the human brain» are Airwave’s words of wisdom for every single day. Do not limit the man to a single genre, as his 15 years in the business gave him the ability to execute any style of music with a true sense of perfection and achievements.

The flowing collaboration between Neo Kekkonen and Dirkie Coetzee isn’t restricted to big remixes, the original work is most likely even bigger.
Live Again presents the vocal talent is US based songstress Marcia Juell, who has had success on international labels such as Black Hole.
Live Again is a showcase how all these three talents think alike of dance music of the new year. This is track is aimed for the floor, but the beauty of the melody makes sure the track fits excellently to radio use also.
The remixes come from Israeli future super-duo R&R. Their previous release “Stranger”, released on our Nemesis sub label, was supported by Markus Schulz and was licensed to his monthly Top 15 late last year. R&R adds a tech progressive touch to the track.
Subtraxx cornerstone Ayleon adds their magical trance touch to the track. Their 10 minute trance interpretion is something that you really need to listen. This is something for the uplifted minds.

We have much respect to our past, the great artists and awesome releases during the past years.
Year 2012 will concentrate on the in-house artists and yet more Subtraxx trademark Finnish sound. On Subtraxx Remixed the remix treatment was given to tracks that we’re originally released without a remix on our labels during 2011.
Russian electroinflueced DJ Salamandra’s Physical got a tranced by South African Dirkie Coetzee and his Finnish production soulmate Neo Kekkonen, the end result is a vocal gem with big room trance chords.
Our US based secret weapon Theta Rhythm took a approach on Finnish Glideslope’s first release Fable. The outcome is a bass heavy progtrancer with almost fragile piano themes.
Neo’s solo production selection was targeted to Wind Walking by Helion Tide. The remix is a driving trancer with modern twist, bit darker than the uplifting original.
Originally released on Camouflage, Lisko’s Silver Sky caught the attention of fresh production duo Sagen & Jonas who decided to make a remix of the track just for fun. After hearing the track we decided this remix will have to made heard by larger audience. Proper uplifting trance.

Suffuse is a duo formed by Nick Simmons and Jon Coles, better known with their producing aliases Narel and Tripleone.
Their first collab Time was well received on Nemesis - now the latest output is fitting well on Camouflages good-old-yet-modern trance sound.
Original is is a true old school trancer with a great melody. The track builds slowly to it’s own groovy length.
The other version on the release is guys’ own ambient interpretation for your chilling moments.

Ville Lope is here again to close the year.
“Strings of Sorrow” is a title that doesn’t even try to hide the mood of the track. It’s atmospheric and darkish. The track relies on the huge breakdown with strings and choir – building up to one massive theme. The rolling beats and repetitive arpeggios leave no question about the producer behind the track.
The first remix comes from one of the most successful Subtraxx producers. Marko Kantola has been a part of Armins yearmixes, in heavy rotation of Markus Schulz, and is now returning to Subtraxx. This remix presents his new clubbier sound he’s been fine-tuning for the past couple of years. You will hear a LOT more from this guy in near future – that’s a promise.
The second remix comes from Snow Flakes and Rishabh Joshi. Their single Luminosity gained a lot of interest in the beginning of the year. The guys have been focusing on the production during the year. You can hear how the track is more and more targeted to the dance floor.
Yet another spot on Subtraxx release, choose your favorite.

Mark Doyle delivers a snappy uplifting trance track with super saw filled melodies. Syncretic Operations is one of those timeless tracks you can keep in you bag for ages and it will always work. Lisko remix is a dark trancer. The break down is gloomy and the track keeps the chords tightly in minor.

George le Rouge is italian based producer with banging fresh sound. His first Subtraxx release is a bit more laid-back what you will hear in future. Haunting Dreams is a vocal gem presenting the vocal talent of Elyssa Vulpes.
The Original Mix is relying in laid back grooves and rises the vocal line to be the main element.
One of Subtraxx future backbones is also the one of the strongest flag bearers of South African trance scene. Dirkie Coetzee delivers a trance 2.0 style remix. Wide bassline, groovy beat and a tad techy touch, spot on Subtraxx release.
Neo Kekkonen’s Remix relies on similar elements as his brother in producing arms Dirkie. Neo introduces strong melodic hook, evil beats and basses – almost in rockatronic style.
The package is completed with George’s own progressive mix for those who want to take it a bit easier.

GenetX born Dmitriy Trofimov is yet another talent we found from Russia.
He’s track Feel Love captures the feeling of Nemesis spot on. Progressive, trancey, haunting female vocals, just the mellow trancers we all love.
Autogen takes the tempo up, cranks the rotaries up and is aimed directly to the dancefloor. This track is totally four to the floor, which made it clear GenetX is a really versatile talent.

Lamajie isn’t a new name in the trance scene, he has gained name on his release on Ferry Corsten’s Flashover before. Still we were astonished with the track he entered our tranciest imprint Camouflage. Sun Goes Down is a pure uplifting trancer with hauntingly beautiful female vocals. Real euphoric peak timer.
Camouflage’s russian power duo Rotation delivered a nu-trance version with filthy electro influenced baseline, giving it the feeling of 2011.
Finnish Glideslope takes the the poppiest and peppiest take on this track, but still keeping the cheese-factor tightly in his hands. Top notch production from this future talent!
There’s a version for every trance/progressive trance jock out there. Pick your your weapon.
