God, this is one hell of a cracker!
Cathedrals Of Hope is an outstanding piece of music. Credible, Strong, with an Attitude.
Reset marks Airwave’s return to heavier sounds for a trancer that’s larger than life.
And Last But Not Least: a Brand New Version of his last Smasher Atlas Winds, this time featuring great vocals by Francesca Genco. Should justify its presence into every actual dj’s recordbox for the next months to come.
Essential Release.

2012 brings collaboration between Subtraxx label manager Ville Lope and Marko Kantola, making a huge comeback. Marko and his earlier project White Stars’ releases were frequently spotted in the playlists and compilations of big names like Armin Van Buuren and Markus Schulz.
Lope & Kantola brings the dancefloor just what you can expect from these two talented Finns. Big basslines, solid grooves and huge melodies. Lonely Ranger is only the first chapter in new success story. The original track introduces a catchy percussive loop, big gritty baseline and great groovy drums.
Jason Seizures can still be thought as a newcomer in the record industry, but with big remix of Alex Kunnari feat. Ben Andreas – Taste The Sun on Magik Muzik can’t be said to be unheard. Jason’s remix Electro House Remix can be dubbed as Complextro – He takes the already big and gritty baseline and makes it completely his own. This track is totally a party track ensured to make the crowds bounce like madmen. Yes, there’s dustup breakdown in this one.
Airwave’s insight to Lonely Ranger strips down the track – his true trance approach is almost minimalistic compared to the complexity and melodies of the original. If you are into laid back progressive grooves and trance of the nineties, this is a safe bet. Airwave is again on fire.

A true activist in Electronic music of all kinds for well over 15 years, Belgian Airwave’s discography counts more than 250 records and dozens of remixes, many of them being supported by the biggest names of the industry. Genius Composer and Performer, the man’s imprint on the scene is remarkable.
Hit by surprise by a virus called Electronic Dance music, Laurent developed his knowledge of music and technology in Parallel until his first demos saw the light of day in may of 1995. 1996 saw him release his first tracks on the infamous Bonzai imprint, but that is 1998 that saw him grow up and become the progressive trance artist we know today, with the release of his first Airwave record, I want to Believe, immediately picked up by UK’s own Sasha and Oakenfold, and later on by up and coming youngster Tiesto, gaining popularity as much as he was playing Laurent’s records. The same can be said about the whole dutch trance scene, in which Laurent’s records were and still are omnipresent.
That is how Laurent developed his DJ and performing career from back then, having several gigs worldwide, from Tokyo to San Francisco, from Auckland, NZ to Toronto, and from Manchester to Athens. Hundreds of gigs saw him perform at the world’s biggest clubs of those times, Slinky, Gatecrasher, Godskitchen, The Gallery, 1015, Dopler in Bratislava, and many others, all of them had the chance to welcome Laurent Airwave one day, if not several times, which proves that you do not need to over-commercialize your music to get rewarded all around the world.
«Everyday is full of new challenges, and limits only exist into the human brain» are Airwave’s words of wisdom for every single day. Do not limit the man to a single genre, as his 15 years in the business gave him the ability to execute any style of music with a true sense of perfection and achievements.

Born in 1977 in Brussels, Laurent aka Airwave is a natural born musician. At the age of 7, he discovered and has developed since then his perfect ear, a precious gift that would later lead him to release his very first records at the age of 18, on the infamous Bonzai record label. Back then, under the influence of 80’s and 90’s electronica, he already knew what he wanted and fought for his right to express himself, which led him to the very first Airwave release “I want to Believe” EP. This alongside with the many other aliases and collaborations (Fire & Ice, Planisphere…), and the development of Bonzai records outside Belgium (UK, Germany, Italy and many other countries) made his career take off in 1999.
Releases were just dropping like rain on Scotland, that made him hit dance top tens and dj charts several times. Versatile in the studio, also extremely gifted as a producer, he’s of that generation that breaks boundaries by doing any kind of music, whether it’s house, chill-out, trance, progressive, techno. Virtually any dj has played a record of his in the last ten years, seeing him championed by the likes of Oakenfold, Paul van Dyk, John 00 Fleming, Tiësto, Armin, Judge Jules and many, many more.
“Believe”, his very first critically acclaimed artist album, was released at the end of 2002. A much better (and of course updated) version of it “I want to believe”, that in a way “looped the loop” was released in 2003 and confirmed the successful career that he had already achieved.
But he always wants much more…
Because of all this knowledge, because of all the endless possibilities he feels he has as a musician, he put together a new concept as a performer in order to promote his 3CD album “Trilogique”, a perfect definition of versatility, bringing the audience 3 different tastes of electronic music into one single package, and showing how much difference matters. As guided by the Greater God like he uses to say, he developed the Triloset, a combination of dj’ing with totally improvised keyboard parts on top of them, which led him to promote Trilosets first instead of Dj’ing, although the audience had seen him DJ worldwide since 2000, with many gigs in England, Scotland, Japan, Korea, New Zealand, Canada, Netherlands, Spain, Finland, Norway, Switzerland, South Africa…
The brand new Triloset concept led him to countries he had never been before, with the likes of Turkey, Qatar, USA, Ukraine, Estonia, Lithuania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and many others, finally having the Airwave treatment they deserved!!
Today, Laurent’s discography counts no less than 500 productions, a lot of them being collaborations and remix works for the biggest superstars of nowaday’s dance scene (Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Judge Jules, Markus Schulz, M.I.K.E, Yves Deruyter just to name a few). Time saw him finally running Bonzai Records with his long time partners and friends, and also expanding his knowledge of acoustics in order to develop his producer career, as a sound designer among others.
And God only knows what tomorrow will be made of for Airwave, but keep in mind that the boy does deliver whatever happens, this for ten years already, with a huge passion and a huge amount of fans pushing his back up to the top electronic musicians hall of fame.
